Thank you for joining us at our Mixer!

imageWe had so much fun at this week’s mixer event at Exchange Bar and Grill!  It was great to have t he opportunity to meet all of our friends and supporters!

The highlight of the evening was when our Teaching Artist Patricia Runcie shared her personal experience with Arts to Grow kids.  Here’s just one story:  Kayvon came to an Arts to Grow’s musical theater program in his 6th grade with behavior management and academic issues on record. It took an arts program for Kayvon (and the world around him) to recognize and extricate his promise. Now an 8th grader, he no longer fights in school and is appalled at any grade lower than a B. Kayvon reveals the potential of transformative arts education in urban milieus.

Our effective program model for engaging underserved youth is proven to produce leaders, is in high demand and is ready to replicate.  We have over 50 schools and community organizations on our waiting list, representing 5000+ children annually who urgently need to improve their focus for learning new skills in critical thinking, social/emotional development and reading and math. We are ready to reach thousands more!  With your help we can.

Thank you all for your continued support!  And thank you for coming out to our mixer!
