The Drawing Center and Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian offer a free art-making workshop that engages children and adults in hands-on creative exploration. Educator-led discussions and art-marking activities will encourage participants to get inspired, have fun, and make art together.
Children 8-12 and their parents are invited to explore the Carl Beam retrospective exhibition at the National Museum of the American Indian. This workshop will encourage participants to discover the world of museums by creating their own drawings. New relationships and the way of seeing will be revealed as families engage with the artwork on view. Through hands-on experience, families will connect the work on display with the world outside.
