CUTTING FOR THE ARTS?

A Group of right-wing republicans wants to cut federal findings for the art entirely, pulling $167 million for the national endowment for the arts and the national endowment for the humanities together with $450 millions form pbs. And this would translate into no founding for such a programs as “American masters”, “the Sundance institute”, the dance foundation and the Boston symphonic orchestra. Academy Award®-winning actor and Artistic Director of the Old Vic Theatre Kevin Spacey is pushing back against this efforts.

Kevin Spacey delivered a Lecture on Arts and Public Policy on 24th Annual Nancy Hanks Event in Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a leading national forum for arts policy, intended to stimulate discussion of policy and social issues affecting the arts.
